A Month of Adventures

Within the heart of each person, is a desire for adventure. To brave the unknown and live life fascinated. To victoriously upconquer fears and never have a dull moment!

Admit it, at least some point in your life, you’ve thought about sky-diving. Or swimming with sharks or something 🙂

However, most of us don’t have the time or resources to just pack up and go seek adventure. We’ve got responsibilities that keep us pretty close to home. But, that’s okay, ’cause, someday you’ll get out and have your big adventures…hopefully…maybe…

Life is far too short to spend waiting around for an un-guaranteed  “someday”. We’re not promised tomorrow, let alone “someday”! Besides, who wants to lay around waiting for their lives to begin? Not me! I want to live life to the fullest–in every moment! Our time on earth is too precious to waste even a moment of!

SO, I came up with the one month of adventure challenge! Here’s the gist:

For one month, I challenge you to try one new thing each day. It could be small–maybe you ate a new food or explored a new area of town. Or, it could be crazy– did you sign up to try an extreme sport or head on confront one of your fears? Just one thing, each day. At the end of each day, jot down what you did. That way, at the end of the month, you’ll have an entire list to remind yourself of your wonderful adventures!

Why not? We want to live life to the fullest, making the most of every moment the Lord gives us. Trying new things is a great way to challenge yourself, learn more about your interests, have fun, and be intentional about how you use your time. By intentionally trying one new thing every day, you’re teaching yourself to appreciate even the small moments and to steward your time well! And hey, get your friends involved! Adventures are way more fun when you’re surrounded by comrades.
